From 1999, UNESCO announced 21 February is the International Mother Language Day. The commemorates the “language martyr” students of Dhaka University of Bangladesh, for Bengali( Bangla, বাংলা ) language. These students of Bangladesh are honored by the encouragement of multiculturalism and the promotion of protective measures for endangered languages. It’s hard to imagine the challenges faced by students who have been ordered to learn in a foreign language, as without linguistic inclusion, there is no equal access to education. Today Indian Bengali peoples suffering much for Hindi same as us, that we faced for Urdu until 1952. Today We celebrating 21 February as International Mother Language Day, 200 of countries in the world of UNESCO. But 21 February was a tragedy day of Bangladesh. 21 February 1952, that day was a bloody days in Bangladesh. A few of Bengali peoples was killed by Pakistani Army at Dhaka University of Bangladesh. From 1952 to 1999, only Bangladesh was celebrated this day for Shahid. From 2000, 21 February become the International Mother Language by help of UNESCO. Today is 1st of February, so 21 February is very near of us. We are preparing for remember of our brothers, they was shahid by polices and Army in Dhaka city. W never going to forget our shahid brothers, they are forever alive, Shahid never die. at 1952 then Bengali Language( Bangla Bhasa) was almost died language, Urdu was official language in Bangladesh. For our shahid brothers, we got shahid day(21 February), they given their life for protecting Bengali language and protecting Bangladesh. We will remember them forever with all of our souls.
